A wonderful, clever, unassuming, gentle giant of a man, who was always willing to help when needed - this is how I will always remember Benny.
In me case patience was another of his attributes, especially when trying to educate me in the workings of my tablet, although he didn't apply for the job, over the years Benny became my personal technology adviser.
I could not have wished for better brother-in-law, who will be missed with great sadness and love.

It is clear from the touching tributes that Benny was a much loved person by both family and friends. I always knew him as Barn's Dad and have one overriding memory of him from when Barn and I were teenage rugby players.
Benny elected to drive us down to Looe for a rugby tour which was kind enough in itself . He also required great patience to endure the constant conversation, mainly from me. Barn later told me that he was curious as to why I had an infatuation with one word in particular which I can't mention in this tribute.
I would like to offer my deepest condolences to Barnaby, Martha, Jessica, Wendy and Amelie.

Benny - a quiet, gentle giant with the kindest heart and the deepest laugh. I remember linking arms with him while he walked me and my sister, Jane, back home every Thursday night from the Royal Exchange when I was only 16. He made sure that we got back to Western Road safely - a true gentleman who will be sadly missed. My thoughts are with you Wendy, and all the family.
